The Sadies - Schubas Tavern Chicago, IL Dec. 2001

Here's a cool little Sadies show from way back in '01. Pretty killer set here, and The Sadies aren't known for their live shows for nothin' boys. If you're not familiar with The Sadies, they are killer instrumentalists who play their own mix of surfabilly-bluegrass-country-delic-gospelpunk.....check em out. This is a good place to start. They have an official live album that, while a killer album, is much like a modern rap record(:-P).....you know, plagued with just a touch too many guest appearences (cough cough..jon spencer..cough).
I didn't get much information with this one, so all I know is that it was recorded at Schubas Tavern in December of 2001. I have another Sadies boot I will be putting up that features some steel guitar and is equally killer, so look forward to that if you are a fan.

  4. Hello Truersound!
    Thanks for this excellent concert!
Can't wait for the "steel-guitar tape" you promised! BUT:
Are you sure about the running order of the titles given on the cover? From what I hear it is drastically wrong or is this a problem of a faulty up/download

  5. Hello again Truersound!
I am sorry for having caused any trouble; the wrong running order seems to be a problem with my Nero
Burning Rom, but even with my limited skills on the computer I have overcome this. Listening to this show makes even more fun now!
    Best wishes

  8. Truersound,

Hey buddy, I put out the call on the Gene Vincent track you asked about. A very cool person - Littlebit, answered the call. Here was the reply:

"I have it by Earl Vince & The Valiants. I am not sure it was recorded by Gene Vincent."

So here it is by Earl vince & The Valiants:
