This is a killer, killer boot. Amazingly, I couldn't find any artwork for it, so I had to whip some up real quick. The sound quality on this one is amazing, almost as good as the "fillmore" album. Fantastic set too. The only downsides are the radio station identifiers that pop up seemingly randomly throughout.....I can live with it though, cause this is the best Byrds boot I believe I've heard. Features my favorite era of the Byrds too.....the one right after Gram Parsons with Clarence White and Gene Parsons.MP3

What a wonderful post, what a wonderful album and LAST NOT LEAST, what a wonderful artwork! I really appreciate that you're always providing artwork with your albums!!!
ReplyDeleteNice! Thank you! Great post and nice artwork!
ReplyDeleteThanks but Megaupload is impossible here. Could someone reupload it to sharebee or massmirror (or even RS)? Sorry to have to ask for this.

Thanks. this is a real treat. Much better than Filmore West.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your effort to post great and awesome radio shows.
ReplyDeleteBye,
Juan
Thanks guys, this really is a killer show.
ReplyDeleteand BTW sorry for using megaupload. I had to because it was over 100mb. Let me know if you still need it re-upped.
ReplyDeleteThe Byrds were many different groups under the same banner during their (kind of) short career. As a band working in a 60's-Pop mode their earlier (in particular the Gene Clark years)
ReplyDeletestuff is right up there with The Beatles and other greats of the day.
This version of The Byrds though is just fantastic, Clarence White's guitar playing is awe-inspiring and this tenure of the band laid the groundwork for every country-rock ensemble since.
For those that don't know Clarence White's untimely death (Wiki him) is the basis for a verse in Gram Parson's classic "In My Hour of Darkness".
Thanks for this Tru!
PS. I don't know if you've heard the new CD "Raising Sands" by Alison Krauss and Robert Plant but it's friggin' amazing (with two Gene Clark covers!).
Thanks for the offer to re-up. I'll explain: In many countries Megaupload requires those using their services to download and install their toolbar (read: spybar). Once installed, they usually let you get just one file after midnight GMT. If you try to get something else, they tell you to wait eight hours. Most of the time, after the eight hours, they stiff you and tell you to try again after midnight GMT.
ReplyDeleteIt gets worse: For the past six weeks or so, they have not let me get anything, even with both the spybar and megamanager (another spyware) installed. Honestly, I think they should be boycotted.
Although they are slower, I have had no problems with Gigasize and Sharebig, two services that allow larger uploads.
Thanks again for all the great files you have been posting.
