Scott H. Biram - Preachin' and Hollerin' (Hard To Find)

Here's an early Scott H. Biram album (that's currently going for $95 on Amazon...HOLY SHIT!). This thing is killer. Just raw country-blues-punk-a-billy-whatever you want to call it (Scott calls it depression era metal :D) If you like honky tonk music, you'll probably like this. If you like mountain style bluegrass, you'll probably like this. If you like old school rockabilly, you'll probably like this. If you like punk music, you might like this. Hell if you like gospel music you might even like this. Me personally, I love it.

3. The Long Chain Charlie
4. Weary Visitors

  4. If it is only sold at shows why not re up it and give people a chance all over the world to enjoy his music .The chances of a person elsewhere hearing it is almost zero , I'm in Canada and would love to hear this as I love mountain music . Steve p. I really like these odd postings thx

  6. I'm so glad you figured out the problem with the link. I'd never heard Biram before, but am more than glad that I have now. Great stuff! I hope you have more of him to share in the future.

A little research at allmusic shows them pointing the finger in the direction of Slim Cessna's Auto Club. I've heard only a few by them, but those that I have were entertaining in the same way as Biram.

    Thanks again!

  8. Actually, you can buy this and all of Biram's other albums from the following website. I don't think any full-length album he's ever recorded is out of print.

  10. cheers for turning me onto this guy. i've had this on heavy rotation for a week, and have subsequently gone and ordered another of his albums (Dirty Old One Man Band... or somesuch). As I live in australia, i never would've heard of Biram if it weren't for blogs like this. And subsequently, Biram would never have received my dollars.
