a tiding....

Sorry for the slow pace this month, just been real busy. I have a ton I could post, a new Gary Louris show, an ooollllldddd George Jones show, some Bob Dylan and Guy Clark outtakes.....I just ain't had time to get 'em ready. So to tide you over (and I know this is shitty) is what I consider the paramount rendition of one of the greatest songs ever thought up

  5. HI, great collection you have here. I just can't seem to get the password working on some of the older ones (SCOTS, Townes & Blaze). Any suggestions ???

  6. allright, I put the Possum show up :) it's just killer, and had to be set free

Eric: info on the video clip. It's Clarence "Tom" Ashley playing one of his signature songs "The Coo-Coo Bird" This is probably one of the oldest folk songs around and Clarence first recorded it in the 20's. If you like that kind of stuff do yourself a favor and pick up "Harry Smith's Anthology of American Folk Music". It was released in 1952 and still remains one of the most essential collections of music ever compiled. And you get Harry Smith's awesome surreal song descriptions. No record collection is complete without it.

Bigdrink. I don't know about password. I don't really use them anymore, but once upon a time it was a necessity for me. You can try truersound, or 1963....if it's not those then hell if I know. I'll probably have to re-up them...let me know.

  7. Truersound, the two passwords don't work anymore. If there's any chance you could re-up your SCOTS collection and the Townes/Blaze recordings, I'll highly highly appreciated.
