Hardcore country revivalists BR5-49's excellent first album is an EP that provides a snapshot of their live shows at Robert's in Nashville. This is a short album and every track on here is excellent. My favorites include the truckers anthem "18 Wheel's and a Crowbar", the kickass cover of the Louvin's twisted "Knoxeville Girl", the ode to 50's icon Betty Page "Betty, Betty", and the tale of debauchery in Mayberry "Me n' Opie (Down By The Duckpond)"......I think I just named almost every song on there....

"18 Wheel's and a Crowbar" is great. I imagine 18 wheels running across your dumb redneck body and a crowbar being used to pick your snotty brains from the highway.
ReplyDeleteWhen you go to a concert why not leave the sneaky microphone at home and not stick it up your ass in order to bootleg the tunes?
Say there Sonny, if the guys don't give away the music on the OFFICIAL WEBSITE you point us to, then don't YOU be doin' it either.
ReplyDeleteWatcha got in your head? Grits? Ya got no excuse bein' a polecat ugly-faced thievin' varmint. If the artists wanna give away their music they can. YOU SHOULD NOT. How fuckin' dumb are you not to understand that?
A truer sound is the wind goin' through one of your ears and out the other.
ReplyDeleteBoy, ya just don't understand RIGHT from WRONG do ya? Stubborn as a mule and you smell like one, too.
In other words, your mama should have been more careful what she fucked what, some 40 ugly years ago.
