I'm just going to go ahead and declare this Ray Wylie Hubbard week at ATS, which means I have something extra special for you folks coming this weekend. This was recorded during last weeks Music Fest in Steamboat, Colorado by the fine folks over at Music Fog who are doing God's work when it comes to capturing great artists on high quality vids.

Saw Hayes perform this song at the Belcourt in Nashville a couple of years ago when he was touring with Corb Lund. A bunch of folks got caught up in the throwaway song "She Left Me For Jesus" but I think DPD was the real jewel from this CD.

ReplyDeleteWhat a song! I bought Trouble In Mind, but have never listened to it so this is a 'new' song for me. Some fine coupletst there- a bit like "Stuff that Works". Very nice. Thanks for posting the video. D
