Well, I thought I would repost this seeing as Lucero has a new album on the way. Due out Oct. 6th, 1372 Overton Park is the name of the album, and it is Lucero's major label debut on Universal/Republic records. Pre-order the album now and get a 6 song sampler download of the album along with a plethora of other things depending on what you choose.
Early buzz of the album from the sampler is that this album moves the band into memphis soul and E-Street Band territories while still retaining that core sound Lucero fans know and love. Personally I like what I have heard, but hard core Lucero fans may not.
Heres a cool acoustic Lucero show from 2002. Recorded in a radio studio so you know the sound quality is good. It's a pretty interesting boot just because it's so similar to "The Attic Tapes", except there are newer songs on this one. Anyway, if you liked "The Attic Tapes" you will most likely dig this.MP3

How cool, I live 10 miles from Bloomington. Didn't realize WESN did anything like this, they are a college station at Illinois Wesleyan University run by students. Nice find!
