Really, really sorry for the dead air around here. The real world has been kickin' my ass lately and I just haven't been into it. Only reason I'm posting this (besides to keep you fine folks from worrying) is because I'm in between projects and a business trip and have half a weekend of downtime. I'll get back into it probably later in the summer.....but for now, call it a summer vacation. Don't give up though, I still have lot's in the hopper to post....just no time to post it. Check back around August or so.....until then enjoy the summer folks. Get outside....might I recommend hitting the river
(Photo is of the New River and Sentinel Point.....about 10 miles from here)

Glad you are OK!! Enjoy the downtime and look forward to future posts on this great blog!

Hey guys...hoping you knowledgeable people might be able to help me. Does anyone know what recording this tune came from---is it a one off or a live recording--and where I might find a copy if it's a live one? Jay Farrar and Kelly Willis:

Your blog is awesome and will be worth the wait when it resumes in August....Thanks! and enjoy the time off
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear that the world been kicking your ass. It really can be a shithole sometimes. But music it's one of the basic things that really make it worthwhile. Drive-by truckers new one and Bon Ivers magnificent debut got me through som rough times this spring. Blue eyed soul they call it.
ReplyDeleteAnd always remember the homepsun wisdom of Kinky Friedman about persons who brings you down:
"Fuck 'em and feed 'em fruitloops".

It is now August - August 2nd, to be exact.
ReplyDeleteSo...any day now...?
Are you still not dead?! Hope you are still a part of the mortal coil and will be gracing us with your posts again someday soon.
ReplyDeleteThis is without a doubt the very best music blog ever. I can't even begin to say how many musicians you turned me on to...thank you! The Todd Snider set alone is just priceless.
