Sorry about the lack of posts this week, been busy. This is just a mix I've been listening to in my truck and I thought it was pretty good so I decided to make it the first "Truesounds" post. Which I will probably post occasionally. This is mostly newer stuff with a little older stuff in there for good measure. Here is the playlist:- Meltdown - Slobberbone (most members of slobberbone now in The Drams....though they are not as good)
- Naked Ground - The Dexateens (this is off their new album, produced by Patterson Hood)
- Atlanta - Centro-Matic (off their new E.P. Operation Motorcide)
- Try - Jason Isbell (off his new one, ex-Drive By Trucker)
- Moonlight Only Knows - Deadstring Brothers (off there killer 2005 album)
- Anywhere But Here - Bruce Robison (off his new E.P., Kelly Willis's husband)
- No Angel Knows - Slaid Cleaves (off his 1997 album of the same name)
- Killin' Time In Texas - Gurf Morlix (off his new album, texas super-producer)
- Something Changed - Chris Knight (off his new-old album The Trailer Tapes)
- Train To Jackson - Jeffrey Foucault (off his newest album Ghost Repeater)
- Lowlands - Gillian Welch (off her last album Soul Journey)
- Rivertown - Hayes Carll (off his 2005 masterpiece of an album Little Rock)
- Red Buds - William Elliot Whitmore (off his album from last year)
- Restless - James McMurtry (off his last album Childish Things)
- Death's Black Train - Gob Iron (Jay Farrar side project from last year)
- Mellow Down Easy - Kieran Kane, Kevin Welch & Fats Kaplan (off there album from last year)
- Voice of The Devil - David Childers and the Modern Don Juans (rockin' little number from his album Jailhouse Religion)
- Never Be Your Darling - The Backsliders (one of my fave bands, very twangy country rock with an emphasis on rock....this is from their 1999 second album)
- El Paso - The Gourds (off Bolsa Del Agua, I like this one)
- Wasted - Lucero (off their debut, my fave album of theirs)
