You know usually I'm not much of a Wilco fan, and sometimes I regret "not getting it". But I still dig their first couple albums, and this here boot is a fine testament to those two albums. Sprinkled with covers and Jeff Tweedy's Uncle Tupelo songs, this thing flows like fine wine (wine....also another thing "I don't get"). If you're like me and never really got Wilco, but love Uncle Tupelo give this a listen and it might open your eyes a little (check out the song "It's Just That Simple"). If you're already a Wilco fan, well then I guess you know what to expect! There is a cool acoustic version of Gun on here (one of my fave UT songs)MP3 @ 160 (150MB)

Welcome back!
ReplyDeleteIs this the right Sharebee link? It says Uncle Tupelo at the Bluenote.
Hmm. The torrent doesn't work for me (and I do know how to use bittorrent). Can you check the link? The file downloads, but my client won't open it.
ReplyDeletehere we go again....if only things were simple.
ReplyDeletewell, the DL link didn't work because I upped the wrong thing, now I can't get a succesful load.
The torrent however should be working as at least one other person is now seeding.
Sorry, it may be hosted.org....I don't know what their reliability is like.
So it's not just me that finds Wilco (especially latter-day Wilco) hard to digest?
ReplyDeleteAs cryptic as Jay Farrar can be at times I still find more humanity in his sound than anything Jeff Tweedy has done.
Vaughn, Jay is way better than Jeff, even in Uncle Tupelo
ReplyDeleteTweedy is a genius, wait a few years and you'll see. There has been no musician as him since Lennon days. Only Dylan sees all from above. Thank for this.
ReplyDeleteany chance for a re-up?
