Great post over at The Heat Warps (Link Wray - Link Wray)

Ok, so the Steve Earle is giving me problems uploading.....so in the meantime.....I found this killer post over at The Heat Warps:

Now I'm a big fan of Link Wray's early 70's work, and this self-titled album released in 1971 (and long out of print) is the centerpiece of that work. This is not the Link Wray you are familiar with, this is rootsy, gutteral, bluesy, folksy.....just damned good. Think of it like this, this album is to Link Wray what "American Recordings" was to Johnny Cash. This album was recorded in an abandoned chicken coup dubbed the "three-track shack" and features some of the best country-rock-folk-blues you are likely to ever hear. Pretty much every song on here is essential listening, but the standouts among the standouts are "La-Di-Da", "Take Me Home Jesus", "Fallin' Rain", "Rise and Fall of Jimmy Stokes", "God Out West", and the exposive "Fire and Brimstone". Download this just for "fire and brimstone" if you haven't heard it, and I guarantee you will be a convert.
